James Lancaster is a college student. I enjoy working with computers and playing the board game Starfire (though I haven't had much time for a while). I enjoy reading books, my favorite authors include David Weber, Christopher Rowley, Robert A. Heinlein and others. I enjoy playing the old War Game Starfire. I have played the 1979, 1992 and 1998 versions and for simplicity the '79 version is the easiest, but the 1998 version is the most fun. I recently got an essay published in 21st Century (on the web -someplace (I looked in 2004 and found it: here) I promote open-source. All of my work on this page is licenced under the GNU General Public Licence. I've put some of my work (from highschool I think) on this webpage when I have enough time. (Old files from a few (5) years ago, and a link to sloppyadm.) In case you haven't figured out, I'm a big believer in SIMPLE and USABLE webpages (and think most graphics are distracting to a page.), which display anywhere. This one works in firefox, opera, konqueror, lynx, and links. It's valid. Simplicity and actually being able to find things! The menu to the right (assuming your browser supports CSS, if not, it will be text links above) has things categorized, and submenus which should make sense. (And I use this as a testbed for playing around with CSS. Fun!) Note: This page is supposedly continuisly under construction...has been since that was popular on the net 1997? 1998-2004 Page designed and copyright by James Lancaster. E-Mail me This page hosted on a 64-bit Athlon 64, thanks to gentoo actually running in 64-bit mode on Gentoo Linux, running apache. (used to be hosted on Red Hat LINUX (The best Operating System), an DEC alpha and Apache(The most popular web server, and it is Open-Source)) Return to family page. At least before trying things out:
